Josh currently resides in his hometown in Sacramento, CA. His football officiating career began in 2008 in the Sacramento area for high school assignments, and eventually worked his first state championship in 2017. He was hired by the Community College Football Officials Association (The Organization) in 2011, where he worked as a back judge and referee. He was added to the CFO West roster in 2016, and in June 2018 he was hired by the Big Sky Conference as a developmental back judge.
