Chris began officiating football 19 years ago. He was named UHSAA Football Official of the Year in 2012, and has served in multiple local and State Board positions, including President of both. He worked (45) Utah High School Playoff games, and (5) State Championship games (2012, 2010, 2008, 2006, 2004)--all at the Back Judge position. In 2005, Chris began working Junior College football (BJ, SJ, FJ & R), where he worked (4) Top of the Mountains JC Bowl games (2006, 2009, 2010 & 2011). He also worked Div. II & III in the GNAC/NIFOA from 2011-2015, and was hired into Div. 1 FCS by the WCC in 2011. In 2012, Chris was hired by the Big Sky Conference as a SJ, and transitioned to BJ in 2014, receiving FCS Playoff assignments in 2015. Chris has attended the following camps: West Texas 2017; CFO West 2015; Stars and Stripes Academy 2012; West Texas 2011, 2010; Reno 2005, 2004.  He has also been a Staff member for the Stars and Stripes Academy 2013-Present, and BJ instructor at the Fresno HS Officials Camp 2014. Chris has also worked several years of Indoor Professional Football as a Referee & BJ.

 

Chris is the Plant Manager for BARD, a medical device R&D and manufacturing company in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He has also worked in the Sporting Goods and Aerospace industries in Utah, Georgia and Tennessee. Chris earned an MBA at the University of Utah, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Design Engineering Technology at BYU. Outside of work and football, he likes to spend time with his family raising their Horses, Golfing, and going on Vacations all over the world (esp. cruises). Chris lives in Bluffdale, Utah. He is married to Michelle (32+ years), and together they have five children: 4 adults sons and a teenage daughter.
