I started High School Football officiating in 1990 in Colorado. Was picked up on my first varsity crew in 1993 as a back judge. I move to Iowa in 1996 and at that time they we just moving from 4 man to 5 man at all levels. Was picked up on a crew as back judge and worked with the area on training back judges. In 1998 I was elected as area director. I moved back to Colorado in 1999 and picked up as a back judge. In the fall of 2000 I took over the crew as referee. I have served 4 years as area 7 director and have been again been elected to a new three year term.

Over the years I have worked over 30 state play-off games and have the opportunity to work the 4A finals back judge in 2008 and 5A finals 2013 as referee.

I have also work in the Colorado Football Conference semi pro league since 2000 and have work numerous play off games and finals.

I am proud to know that several of the fine officials that I have had a crew members have gone on to become crew chiefs and others have moved up to the NCAA level.
