Patrick began his high school officiating in 1986. He was hired by the Western Athletic Conference as a Line Judge in 2002 and has worked in the Mountain West, Big Xll, Arena 2, NFL Europe and the PAC 12. As of 2014 Patrick is a NFL Down Judge.

Patrick and his wife, Tonya, reside in Lakewood, California.
